PHARM 301 was a wonderful, engaging class that was honestly such a rare opportunity. We got experts from the field and pharmacists coming in as guest speakers every single week, so we were able to cover a wide range of topics with a surprising level of depth. Everyone was passionate about what they talked about, and it was clear that they enjoyed the work they did.

This class, combined with my experience at my pharmacy job, made me seriously consider switching to pharmacy school for a while. UW has a very good Pharm D program, and I knew that my current job would help me in terms of experience. Pharmacy also sounded appealing because I was very interesting in the pharmaceuticals/chemistry side of it, more so than regular biochemistry, in fact. Ultimately, I chose not to go down that path, but I think this was still a very pivotal moment for me.
